#8 ranked welterweight division mainstay, Neil Magny is set to book his UFC return for March 26. – drawing the streaking unranked contender, Max Griffin at UFC Fight Night Columbus. The event is slated to take place at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

New York native, Magny last featured in May of last year on the main card of UFC Vegas 26 – taking home a unanimous decision victory against Texas striking standout, Geoff Neal to return himself to the winner’s enclosure.

For Griffin, the Californian has embarked on a three-fight winning run as of recent times – taking a unanimous judging victory over former WEC welterweight titleholder, and former interim UFC welterweight champion, Carlos Condit at UFC 264 in July. Twitter user, MagicM MMA was first to report the news of Magny’s return against Griffin. 

Seeing his three-fight winning spree halted back in January of last year at UFC Fight Island 8 – Magny had scored successive wins against Li Jingliang, Anthony Rocco Martin, and former undisputed welterweight champion, Robbie Lawler.

The veteran top-10 mainstay also holds other notable promotional wins against the likes of common-foe, Condit, Hector Lombard, Kelvin Gastelum, Erick Silva, and Johny Hendricks. 

36-year-old 26-fight professional veteran, Griffin had also managed to secure other promotional wins against Erick Montano, Mike Perry, and Zelim Imadaev since his promotional bow back in August 2016. From 18 professional triumphs, Griffin has managed nine knockout stoppages.
