5 of the best MMA fights in March for UFC, Bellator & ONE Championship

Five best fights for MMA fans to watch in March from Bellator, UFC, and ONE Championship.

It’s March and that means a whole new month of fights to get into! Fights from Bellator, the UFC, ONE Championship, and Eagle FC are going to draw a lot of attention but the real question is going to come down to which five fights are most important to watch.

With so many options, we sat down, shifted through them, and found the five most important bouts, with the 10 most impressive talents that we think you should be taking time out of your day to watch.

That said we had way too many to not talk about, so we have an entire honorable mention category to get through.

Honorable Mentions

Kevin Lee vs. Diego Sanchez at Eagle FC 46 (March 11)

Kevin Lee is going to make his Eagle FC debut on March 11 against Deigo Sanchez and while Eagle FC landing Lee and promoting him as a headliner is a great thing, his opponent leaves a lot to be desired. Sanchez is all but washed and this very well could be a one-sided affair.

Bibiano Fernandes (c) vs. John Lineker  – ONE Championship: Lights Out (March 11)

The reason this fight didn’t make the Top 5 is that it already did, in February. The bout was delayed from February to March, and we’re not giving it another slot. That said, fans should still check it out.

ONE Championship: X (March 26)

Yup, the whole card basically. We’re talking about the biggest of the biggest bout from ONE Championship: X on March 26 later on but there are four other fights on this card that fans should be invested in. Adriano Moraes is making his first ONE Championship flyweight title defense since knocking out Demetris Johnson, and Moraes will do it against Yuya Wakamatsu.

Speaking of Johnson, he’s returning to ONE Championship to take on Rodtang Jitmuangnon in a special rules bout. The first and third rounds will be Muay Thai rules only, while the second and fourth rounds will be under MMA rules. Rodtang is one of the best Muay Thai fighters in the world, so this will be a fun fight for anyone watching.

Muay Thai legend John Wayne Parr will fight Eduard Folayang in Parr’s retirement fight. It’s going to be under Muay Thai rules, a first for Folayang.

Lastly, Japanese MMA icon Shinya Aoki will go up against Yoshihiro “Sexyama” Akiyama in a battle of Japanese combat legends.
