The Mets (47-39, first in NL East) play their series finale with the Pittsburgh Pirates (33-56, last in NL Central) on Sunday at 1:10 p.m. at Citi Field on SNY.

  • RHP Jerad Eickoff has been selected from Triple-A Syracuse and will be active for today’s game.

  • RHP Geoff Hartlieb was returned to Triple-A Syracuse following last night’s game.

  • RHP Nick Tropeano was optioned to Triple-A Syracuse following last night’s game.

  • LHP Stephen Tarpley has been designated for assignment.

  • Jacob deGrom could’ve pitched Sunday, but decided to go into the All-Star break with extra rest instead. He will not travel to Denver for the All-Star Game either, and was replaced on the roster by Taijuan Walker.

  • The Mets and Pirates split Saturday’s doubleheader, with Pittsburgh taking game one and the blue and orange securing game two. It was the 10th doubleheader of the season for the Mets.

LHP Aaron Loup (3-0, 1.73 ERA), who will make his first start of the season. Loup has been very reliable for the Mets out of the bullpen, having only allowed one earned run in 15 appearances since May 22.

Who is starting for the Pirates?

RHP Chase De Jong (1-3, 5.08 ERA), who earned his first winning decision of the season last week against the Atlanta Braves. De Jong threw five innings of one run, four hit ball in the Pirates’ 11-1 win.
