September 10, 2021 – National Lacrosse League (NLL) – Toronto Rock News Release

Oakville, ON – Toronto Rock Owner, President and GM Jamie Dawick announced today that the club has agreed to a one-year deal with free agent forward Justin Scott.

The signing is pending league approval.

Scott recently suited up for the Oakville Rock during Major Series Lacrosse’s MSL Classic under the watchful eye of Rock head coach Matt Sawyer who also coaches the Oakville Rock.

In three games, Scott scored twice and assisted on two others. It should be noted that in one of those games, Scott played out the back door as a defender, showing a bit of versatility.

In the Ontario Jr. A ranks, Scott played for the Mimico Mountaineers of the OJLL. In 2017 he posted career-highs of 17 goals, 29 assists and 46 points in 19 games played.

Toronto Rock training camp is slated to begin at the end of October, leading up to the beginning of the 2021-22 season.

The Toronto Rock Home Opener is scheduled for Saturday, December 4 at Hamilton’s FirstOntario Centre. Tickets for the game are now on sale to the general public through ticketmaster.ca and torontorock.com.
