The Colonial Athletic Association women’s lacrosse race is wide open and Hofstra picked up a key 16-11 win over Delaware on Wednesday in Newark, Del. The Pride (7-5, 1-1 CAA) outscored the Blue Hens 7-1 in the final quarter to overcome a 10-9 Delaware lead entering the final frame. Junior Taylor Mennella matched her career-high with four goals and Arianna Esposito and Kerry Walser each scored three times for the Pride. Shannon Boyle had four caused turnovers, four draw controls and two groundballs. Lizzie Yurchak led Delaware (3-9, 0-2) with three goals.
