J.T. WON’T LIKE IT
Well, it’s definitely time to lawyer up. The premier’s announcement that Alberta will suspend it’s 13 cent/litre tax on gas will definitely embarrass and infuriate the prime minister. As he attempts to explain to the rest of Canadians why a carbon tax increase is at this time a good idea, he will obviously instruct his battery of high priced government lawyers to either shut down this tax break for Albertans, or find a way to funnel it into federal coffers. Yup … time to lawyer up!

UNDERWHELMING
(Prime Minister Justin) Trudeau saves the day: Just another photo op, the only thing he does well. Canada can’t contribute militarily? What military? Where’s our under-qualified minister of defence, Anita Anand, moved from public service and procurement, previously Oakville Ontario Hospital Board? Only qualification is she’s a woman to help quell the sexual harassment image of our military. Why is Harjit Sajjan even there? Minister of international investment. Perhaps “shadow” defence minister? Let’s send Steven Guilbeault over as well, then cancel all their travel visas.
JOHN McLAUGHLIN
(Now you’re on to something.)

MAKE COMPANIES PAY
Most big companies are exiting out of Russia now that the Russian thug has sent his stormtroopers into Ukraine on a ‘special military operation (war)’ to “de-Nazify” the Ukrainian government and remove the racism against Russians living in the Ukraine. I understand Coca-Cola, Pepsi and McDonald’s have not left. Maybe it is time we start boycotting these companies, sending them a message it is not kosher to support this war.
GORD PETERS
(Do what you think is the right thing to do to protest this invasion but those companies did bend to pressure.)

WEAK LEADERSHIP
The extreme leftist movement are now seeing the reality of their choices. Russia has been playing them like dolls. Joe Biden, Justin Trudeau, Steven Guilbeault, Elizabeth May and Rachel Notley should all reflect on their choices. Canada looks like a lost soul at this moment to the world.
TOBIN McCARTNEY
(It’s not cool being so weak.)

GO RULE YOURSELF
Dear Honourable Candice Bergen, Quebec is a nation. Why are Canadian federal governments being led by someone of another nationality with their own nation’s interests driving policies and actions? SNC-Lavalin as an example. Do we need a Québécois as a leader of yet another Canadian political party, such as the Conservative Party of Canada? Could you imagine what would happen if Alberta passed a law similar to Quebec’s Bill 21, banning Muslim teachers from wearing hijabs? Albertans are second-class citizens in their own country. Alberta should not separate from Canada, Canada should be for Albertans and other Canadians. Canada for Canadians. Let the Québécois run their own nation. The sooner Quebec is partitioned and separated, the better for actual Canadians.
STEPHEN WILSON
(Many Canadians would agree.)
