Reigning ISL champion Belmont Hill entered Sunday’s game against The Hill School (Pennsylvania) angry. Coming off a tough 10-6 defeat at Deerfield on Wednesday, the Sextants were determined to crack the win column for the first time this season and get back to .500.
Behind four goals and an assist from senior attackman Liam Horkan (Connecticut College) along with a stout 15-save performance in net from Matthew Torey, Belmont fought their way to a 9-8 victory. Sophomore attackman Ben DiBattista also played a big helping hand with two goals, as did sophomore midfielder Henry Hasselbeck (1g,1a).
