Monroe, N.C.– The Lenoir-Rhyne Women’s golf team sits in 8th place after round one at the Hargett Memorial Invitational, hosted by Wingate University, Monday.
The tournament is being played at Stonebridge Golf Club where 11 teams make the field. Of the 11 teams five other teams are South Atlantic Conference schools including Limestone, Lincoln Memorial, Wingate, Catawba, and Queens. Limestone leads the field 303 (+15).
Clara Cerfont led the way for LR sitting T-6th shooting a 76 (+4). Cerfont is T-1st in birdies in the tournament at four. Patricia Asensio and Megan Robb followed just behind Cerfront placing T-42nd with scores of 87 (+15).
The Bears will be back ina action to finish out the tournament tomorrow.
