Trinity’s Escamilla leads, Lee boys in 2nd at Gaines County Tourney

SEMINOLE – Trinity junior Ali Escamilla leads the medalist standings after shooting an opening round 73 at the Gaines County Girls Golf Tournament, Friday at the par-72 Gaines County Golf Course.

Lee sophomore Sarah Reed sits in second with a 75.

The Lee girls ended the day in second with a 333, 10 strokes behind leader and district rival Odessa Permian I (323).

Andrews is in third (334).

SEMINOLE – The Lee boys shot a 303 and sit in second following Friday’s first round of the Gaines County Golf Tournament at the par-72 Gaines County Golf Course.

Odessa Permian I leads the tournament by six strokes after scoring a 297.

Nick Pursley, of Permian I, leads the medalist standings after firing a 71.

Lee’s Jackson Comer is in fourth after carding a 74, while Rebel teammates Caden Britton and Kellen Young each shot a 75 and are tied for fifth.
