Spring is here, and soon area golf courses will be hosting charity tournaments for any number of causes.
Many Erie-area non-profit tournaments were canceled in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and other events were held with modified and virtual formats that prevented large gatherings. More than a year into the pandemic, courses expect many events to return to the calendar.
As a result, the Erie Times-News is now accepting tournament listings from the northwestern Pennsylvania region for the 2021 golf season. Events that are submitted by April 18 will be included in the Times-News golf guide in May.
Each listing should include the name of the tournament, along with the golf course, date of event, start time, entry fee, registration deadline, contact information, and other optional details such as meals, special prizes and contests. (Size of the listings will be limited.)
Submit the tournament listing by email to jkirik@timesnews.com with “Golf listing” in the subject line. We will accept only email submissions.
The Times-News will print all tournaments in the Golf Guide, and occasionally in the Sunday Times-News as the tournament date approaches. Questions may be sent by email to jkirik@timesnews.com.
