PCM Boys Golf and Track Begin Season | KNIA KRLS Radio – The One to Count On

The spring sports season finally gets underway for three of PCM’s spring sports squads today as the boys’ golf squad will begin the season at Lynnville-Sully while the track squads will open their season at home.

The Mustangs’ golf squad will be operating under a new voice this year as Collin Harrison takes over for Mike Cardin. PCM will also have a new look to their squad as their top four golfers from last season graduated. The golfer with the lowest nine-hole average returning from last season is sophomore Nick Farver. The Mustangs will compete with the host and Albia. PCM finished second in the triangular last season. The match at Diamond Trail Golf Club in Lynnville begins at 4:00 PM.

The Mustangs’ track squads will get their outdoor season underway after having their first meets canceled. PCM’s boys were scheduled to have meets at Pella Christian and Roland-Story that were canceled. The Mustangs’ girls were scheduled to be down in Chariton last Tuesday. All of their meets were canceled due to inclement weather. The teams will compete with Knoxville, Twin Cedars, Baxter, Chariton, North Polk, Montezuma, and Bondurant-Farrar. The meet at PCM High School gets underway at 4:30 PM.
