Mini golf the Farside way

The Farside 4-H club in Maple Lake kicked off what they hope is a new tradition last weekend with their first ever 4H Mini Golf on the Ice Fundraiser.

A total of 18 teams turned out, Saturday, Feb. 27 to take on a 10-hole course plus one trick shot hole. The best scores earned first and second place honors and small prizes, Farside reporter/historian Kaitlyn Bode said. Those who played the trick shot hole were put in a drawing. Shelley McAlpine and her team finished first and Luckas Louwagie was second. Natasha Shafer won the trick shot drawing.

“It was lots of fun and we had amazing weather for it,” Bode said.

The 4-H group hopes to hold the event again next winter.
