GULF SHORES, Ala. –

 Eastern’s men’s golf team placed 13th at the three-day Craft Farms Intercollegiate hosted by the University of South Alabama.
 
Willis Gaer led the Colonels and tied for 34th overall with a 54-hole total of 223 (+7).  He shot back-to-back rounds of 75 on Sunday and Monday before closing play with a 1-over 73 on Tuesday.
 
EKU shot rounds of 307, 303 and 305 for a total of 915.  The Colonels were four shots behind 12th place Seton Hall.  Cincinnati (865) won the team title by six strokes over host South Alabama (871).
 
The event was contested at Craft Farms Golf Resort in Gulf Shores, Alabama.  The course had a par of 72 and played to 7,127 yards.
 
Axel Nordborg (229) tied for 48th and Billy Basham (233) tied for 63rd.
 
Eastern Kentucky will be back in action April 12-13 at the Wofford Invitational at the Country Club of Spartanburg.
