Golf tourney to aid couple struggling with infertility

Megan Roberts and Lance Roberts will be the beneficiaries of the Gift of Life Golf Event.

Platinum Fitness gym has announced the recipients of its 2021 Gift of Life Golf Event: Fort Myers residents Megan Roberts and Lance Roberts.

Platinum Fitness has pledged to support these gym members by helping them with the financial burden of their struggle to have a child.

The Robertses have been battling infertility since their marriage nine years ago. They have already been through two rounds of unsuccessful in-vitro fertilization and spent a total of $38,000, with costs expected to reach $56,000.

“Lance and I are grateful for the outpouring love and support from our family, friends and community,” said Megan Roberts, advertising operations manager at Florida Weekly.

“We can’t thank our fit fam enough for choosing us as the recipient couple for the third annual event,” she said. “This fundraiser means we have an opportunity to make it one step closer to our dream of growing our family.”

The outing is set for Saturday, May 15, at Pelican Preserve in Fort Myers.
