POCAHONTAS — The 2019 Annual Iberia Bank/Black River Technical College Foundation Golf Tournament scholarships have been awarded for the spring 2021 semester.
Each scholarship is sponsored by a $1,000 donor who is able to name the scholarship. The BRTC Foundation matches the $1,000 donation allowing students to be awarded $1,000 per semester, provided the student maintains enrollment and meets grade-point average requirements.
Shane McFarland of Paragould has accepted the Nielsen Bainbridge Group Scholarship.
McFarland is the son of Stephanie and Tim McFarland and is a 2016 graduate of Greene County Tech High School. He is currently enrolled in the ARNEC LPN-to-RN Bridge Program.
The Clay County Electric Cooperative Corporation Member Scholarship was awarded to Erise McMasters of Paragould.
She is the daughter of Eric and Deborah Kurfman of Warm Springs and is married to Timothy McMasters. She graduated from Maynard High School in 2017 and is currently seeking an Associate of Applied Science in Registered Nursing.
Chelsea Martin of Pocahontas was the recipient of the Don’s Steakhouse in memory of Fredia Finch Scholarship.
Martin graduated from Pocahontas High School in 2011 and is currently working towards becoming a registered respiratory therapist.
