Bloomfield, Conn. – The Fordham golf team kicked off its Spring schedule with a one-day, one-round tournament at Wintonbury Hills Golf Club, hosted by Hartford. The Rams finished fifth out of seven schools with three golfers sharing in a tie of 15th.
After a year and a half off, Fordham was able to finally get back in competitive action on Friday. The Rams combined for a score of 296 with the trio of Peter O’Rourke, John Kryscio, and Tomas Nieves each carding a 3-over 73. It was the first time representing Fordham for Nieves in nearly two years, while Kryscio was making his school debut, as was Andreas Aivazoglou and Jimmy Bagdonas. Aivazoglou finished with a 78, while Bagdonas, competing as an individual, scored an 80. Nicholas Manning rounded out the squad with a 77 and a T35.
The Rams are back in action this week for the UConn Intercollegiate Invite at Ellington Ridge Country Club.
