The Stuart Bloch Wheeling Junior Golf Championship was held on Thursday July 22nd. The weather was perfect and thirty participants competed in five divisions. The Stuart Bloch Wheeling Junior Championship is named after the former president of the United States Golf Association. Mr. Bloch was a large supporter of the USGA Green Environment Initiatives and was a very large supporter of Junior Golf as well.
In the 16–18 Boys Division, Justin Doerr was the winner with a one under par score of 69. Runner-Up in the division is Dylan Dunlevy with an 82.
In the Boys 13–15 division, the winner is Adam Gill with a score of 78, besting runner up Andrew Pennybacker who carded an 86.
In the Boys 9–12 Division, Joshua Rismisel is the winner with a nine hole score of 51, besting runner up Drew Marling who scored a 54.
In the Girls 16–18 Division, the winner is Lauren Tekely. The Girls 13–15 Division winner is Payten Clark.
In 2022, this event will be part of the Callaway Junior Golf Tour and will also be advertised within the Tri-Sate and Northern Ohio Sections of the PGA of America.
