2022 Mexico Open leaderboard: Live updates, full coverage, golf scores in Round 3 on Saturday

Jon Rahm entered the opening round at the 2022 Mexico Open at Vidanta as a favorite to hoist the trophy at the end of the Sunday’s action. Through two rounds, the former No. 1 player in the world has validated those expectations as he holds a two-shot lead heading into the weekend at Vidanta Vallarta.

The field at this PGA Tour stop is certainly favorable for Rahm; he’s one of only three participants ranked in the top 30 in the world to tee off this week. And fellow top-20 golfer Abraham Ancer, who is looking for a win in his home country, sits 10 shots back from the lead — barely avoiding the cut — as Saturday action begins. Still, recent hiccups in Rahm’s short game could make things interesting over the final 36 holes.

A crowded spot atop the leaderboard on Thursday paved the way for some separation on Friday, but there are still plenty of players within striking distance with lots of golf remaining. You can watch the third-round action live on CBS, CBSSports.com and the CBS Sports app from 3-6 p.m. ET on Saturday.
