2021 AT&T Byron Nelson leaderboard: Live coverage, golf scores, updates, highlights in Round 4

Plan B is underway at the AT&T Byron Nelson on Sunday, but it could lead to the best possible scenario for a tournament that will crown its first champion in nearly two years.

After last year’s edition was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the final round this year was bumped up so that everyone will have teed off by 10 a.m. as rain and storms are expected in McKinney at TPC Craig Ranch. That’s not what anyone wants. However, Jordan Spieth in contention to win his (sort of) hometown event is what everyone involved in this tournament wants, and after making his second eagle this week on the 18th hole on Saturday, he’s just three back of leader Sam Burns going into Sunday’s finale.

Spieth has never truly contended here despite playing it every year, but his week thus far has been a validation of everything we saw from him leading up to the Masters in April. He continues to hit it like the best player in the world — a good sign given he’s going to Kiawah Island and the PGA Championship next week looking for the career grand slam — and he’ll likely give Burns all he can handle on Sunday.

Despite the expected rain and sloppy conditions on Sunday, we should get another great home stretch with some great horses — Burns, by the way, is going for his second win in as many starts — chasing another trophy.

Round 4 of the AT&T Byron Nelson will stream live on CBSSports.com and the CBS Sports App from 12-3 p.m. ET. Replay will air on CBS from 3-6 p.m. Keep on scrolling for the latest updates and highlights. Check out the live scores at the top of this story or a more detailed leaderboard.
