Tacko Fall seems to be improving soccer skills in the Celtics’ extended offseason, judging from his keepy-uppies on Instagram.
The Senegalese Celtics big man has been the subject of basketball memes for a couple of years now. He first shot to national attention through his impressive performance for UCF against RJ Barrett & Zion Williamson’s Duke roster in the NCAA tournament.
He showed off enough offensive potential and skill for the Celtics to take a flier on him. Danny Ainge drafted the 7’5″ big man with a second round pick in the 2019 NBA draft. While he’s nowhere close to being an NBA starter, Tacko has definitely flashed impact player potential.

In addition, he’s beloved by all Celtics and NBA fans for his extremely relatable demeanour. He gave us all yet another glimpse into his life with an Instagram video he posted this week.
Tacko Fall posts soccer video on Instagram with a hilarious caption
Given that he comes from football-crazy Senegal, it is hardly a surprise that Tacko likes playing this sport. He showed off some neat touches and immaculate striking in the video below.
As expected, the public reception to this video was quite amazing. We got to see a few other gems reposted to social media by his fans. In fact, even Liverpool FC tweeted his mock trial across their social media handles.

Signing Tacko would doubtless earn Liverpool quite a few brownie points from sports fans. His caption was obviously posted in jest, given how unrealistic it is for such a tall man to play football professionally.
Moreover, it would cause Celtics fans to riot, though seeing their favorite player move to a different sport could mollify the blow for a bit. Perhaps the trio of Sadio Mane, Virgil van Dijk and Tacko could share the pitch for a charity game?
