Watford have signed experienced Colombia midfielder Carlos Sanchez on a deal until the end of the season, the Championship club said on Thursday.
Sanchez, who has earned 88 international caps and featured in the last two World Cups, has joined Xisco Munoz’s squad as a free agent and is available for selection against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
The 35-year-old defensive midfielder made 18 appearances during a two-year spell with West Ham United before leaving the London Stadium at the end of last season. He also played 56 times for Aston Villa between 2014 and 2017.
Promotion contenders Watford sit third in the Championship table, trailing second-placed Brentford on goal difference, with 12 games left in their season.
