Fiorentina manager Vincenzo Italiano has talked about Dusan Vlahovic amidst rumours linking him with Manchester City and Tottenham.
Ahead of Fiorentina’s Serie A opener against Roma, Italiano was talking to the press and he took on a host of a questions about the future of Vlahovic as well.
The new La Viola boss stated: “I think there are no problems for Vlahovic’s stay, I often talk to him, now he is 100% a Fiorentina player and he will be so even after.”
He also stated: “Dusan’s situation hasn’t changed since my last press conference. He is convinced that he is part of this team and is negotiating the renewal with the club. In the meantime, he trains as always with great commitment. He is not the first player to be in the middle of a negotiation.”
Corriere della Sera have claimed that Fiorentina are confident of keeping Vlahovic at the club beyond this summer and talks remain ongoing regarding an extension. They’ve offered the striker a five-year deal and it could have release clause of about €70-€80 million.
