Liverpool’s hopes of booking a spot in the finale of the Champions League could yet be boosted by a key member of Villarreal’s frontline sitting out the action at El Madrigal.
Jurgen Klopp’s troops are of course set to make the trip to the east of Spain in less than 24 hours’ time.
This comes with the Reds primed to face off with Unai Emery’s Villarreal for the 2nd time in the space of the week, amid the highly-anticipated Champions League semi-final tie between the two clubs.
As things stand, it is of course Tuesday’s hosts who are in need of something of a miracle, after a Sadio Mane finish early in the 2nd-half ensured that Liverpool came away from Anfield with a deserved 2-0 first-leg victory.

As alluded to above, though, any lingering hopes on Villarreal’s part of turning things around could yet be in store for something of a hammer blow.
This comes with star winger Arnaut Danjuma having emerged as a major doubt to feature at El Madrigal tomorrow night.
As per a report from the reliable James Pearce of The Athletic, former Bournemouth standout Danjuma was forced to sit out Villarreal training on Monday owing to a foot injury which could too see him miss the return leg versus Liverpool.
On a more positive note for Emery’s troops, though, hitman Gerard Moreno is expected to feature from the off, after sitting out last week’s action on Merseyside with a hamstring problem.
