La Liga club Valencia are reportedly set to submit an offer for Wolves winger Adama Traore, according to journalist Ekrem Konur.
The Lowdown: Traore out of favour at Wolves
The Spain winger is arguably one of the Premier League’s most entertaining players on his day, with his unbelievable pace making him a nightmare for defenders to face. However, his end product is too often lacking – he has no goals or assists in the league this season – and it has led to him being dropped by Bruno Lage recently.
Traore only came on as a substitute in Saturday’s 2-0 defeat away to Crystal Palace and didn’t feature at all at home to Everton in their previous match.

The Latest: Valencia set to make offer
According to Konur on Twitter on Monday morning, Valencia are on the cusp of submitting a bid for the 25-year-old, also stating that Wolves want to extend his stay at Molineux, where he currently earns £46,000 per week
The journalist tweeted: “Valencia FC are preparing to make an offer to Wolverhampton for Adama Traore. Wolves want to extend Traore’s contract for 3 years.”
The Verdict: Time to move on?
It seems clear that Lage doesn’t see Traore as a key figure at the moment, and given the money they could receive for him, it could be the best time to part ways despite Wolves’ reported desire to award him a contract extension.
The winger has been hailed as ‘fantastic’ by Tim Sherwood and is valued at £27m by Transfermarkt, and Wolves could use the money on players who may be likelier to get regular game-time under Lage.
At 25, Traore is possibly young enough to take his game to another level, but too often he flatters to deceives with his end product. Taking that into account, along with the fee that Valencia could potentially offer given his market value, it would seem like a good time to take the money for him.
