A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting on Twitter to a claim to emerge regarding their new permanent manager, Nuno Espirito Santo.

According to The Athletic, The Portuguese manager is expected to move away from the three-at-the-back style of play he became known for at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Should Nuno stick to his three at the back?

Yes

No

No

This report came following Tottenham’s opening pre-season friendly, which ended in a 1-1 draw with League Two side Leyton Orient.

Spurs fans flocked to the tweet from Daily Hotspur to share their thoughts about The Athletic’s report on the new Spurs head coach.

What exactly did these Spurs fans have to say?

“I actually think this is a bad move. Our squad could really suit a 3-4-3.”

Espirito Santo became known throughout his time at Wolverhampton Wanderers for playing with a back three and two wing-backs, which saw Matt Doherty excel during his time at Molineux.

Going by the reaction of these Spurs fans, it appears they are not too pleased to hear Espirito Santo may change his style of play and it does make us question where that leaves Doherty, who struggled at times in a right-back role under Jose Mourinho.
