A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have voiced their thoughts at a video to emerge on Twitter of Giovani Lo Celso during his time with the Argentina national side.

Lo Celso featured in Argentina’s 3-1 victory against Venezuela and was able to provide an assist for the former Spurs transfer target, Lautaro Martinez.

The 25-year-old has travelled with Spurs teammate Cristian Romero to play in the latest round of World Cup qualifiers, despite Premier League clubs deciding not to release players to red-list nations.

Tottenham fans flocked to a tweet from journalist Jonathan Veal relaying the footage of the Spurs man’s assist to share their frustration at the Argentine midfielder.

What exactly did these Spurs fans have to say?

“He should be starting. I’d play him ahead of Dele so that we have something further up the pitch”

“Two players that should play for Tottenham but don’t”

If we only got Martinez…”

“More chances created in one game than Dele in the last 4 months”

“Gio is class he better than Dele should be starting against Palace”

Lo Celso has only featured for 36 minutes in the 2021/22 Premier League campaign, with late cameo appearances in their games against Manchester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

It is reported the Argentines have agreed to miss the final game of the international period in order to make it back in time to play for their clubs in next weekend’s Premier League games.
