A Harry Kane brace ensured that Tottenham eased past Brighton and into the fifth round of the FA Cup, where they were knocked out last season.
The Seagulls never really got going, aside from a 15 minute spell in the second half, and were on the back foot early on as Harry Kane swept home after a quarter of an hour.

A deflected cross from Emerson Royal doubled Spurs’ advantage, and while Yves Bissouma pulled one back on the hour, it was immediately cancelled out as Kane restored the two-goal deficit three minutes later.
And, in putting three past Brighton, Tottenham set a new FA Cup record, becoming the side to have scored the most goals in the competition’s history.
More goals scored than any team in FA Cup history.

Kane loving life under Antonio Conte
It was not too long ago that Harry Kane was refusing to turn up to Tottenham Hotspur training in an attempt to force through a move to Manchester City.
Such a move never materialised, and in the months since he has looked a shadow of his former self, no doubt with the disappointment still playing out in his mind, compounded by the fact that Manchester City look on course to win the Premier League again.
However, Antonio Conte seems to have breathed a new life into the forward, and it safe to say that he is somewhat in awe of his affect on the side.
‘He’s been brilliant – I can’t speak highly enough of him as a coach or as a person’, Kane told the media after the game.
‘He’s really changed the mindset of a lot of players in the team’.

A serial winner wherever he goes, Kane will be hoping that Conte can continue that trend at Tottenham and bring him the first major honour of his career.
