Toronto FC Trade Kemar Lawrence to Minnesota United

Toronto FC announced today that the club has traded defender Kemar Lawrence to Minnesota United FC in exchange for the rights to defender Sean O’Hearn and a conditional $50,000 General Allocation Money (GAM), in either 2022 or 2023, if certain performance metrics are met.


Lawrence, 29, joined Toronto FC on May 7, 2021 after spending two seasons with RSC Anderlecht of the Jupiler Pro League (First Division, Belgium). Lawrence made 26 appearances and registered one goal with TFC during the 2021 season in all competitions (MLS regular season and Canadian Championship).

TRANSACTION: Toronto FC acquired the rights to defender Sean O’Hearn and a conditional $50,000 GAM, in either 2022 or 2023, if certain performance metrics are met. In exchange, the club traded defender Kemar Lawrence to Minnesota United FC.
