Timbers Come up Short in 1-0 Loss against Minnesota United FC

PORTLAND, Ore. – Playing their third game in eight days, the Portland Timbers came up short against Minnesota United FC, with a final score of 1-0 at Providence Park. After conceding in the second minute, Portland could not find the equalizer. The Timbers are headed back on the road, facing expansion side Austin FC for the first time on July 1.


Goal-Scoring Plays

MIN – Adrien Hunou (Franco Fragapane), 2nd minute: Fragapane received the ball on the left side of the six-yard box, and played a square pass to Hunou who placed it into the right hand corner of the goal.

Steve Clark had a season-high four saves.

George Fochive made his season debut, coming off the bench in the 81st minute.
