Three key players return in major boost for Arsenal vs Villarreal

Kieran Tierney, Alex Lacazette and David Luiz are all fit to play for for the Arsenal line up vs Villarreal, with all seen in training in what will be a huge boost for manager Mikel Arteta on the eve of arguably his most pivotal game in-charge.

Respected Arsenal reporter Chris Wheatley gave the update on social media on Wednesday that the three players will be fit to feature in the Europa League semi-final 2nd leg, but perhaps not for the full 90 minutes.

Kieran Tierney and Alex Lacazette both were absent last weekend in their league victory, with Luiz getting minutes to solidify his availability for Villarreal.

The left-back position is one of contention ahead of kick-off, should Tierney not start, it could be that Granit Xhaka continues in that role with Mikel Arteta suggesting it’s a possibility in the press conference via Arsenal.com;

Don’t Miss:

We have managed to get some clean sheets since he’s been playing there and that’s something that didn’t happen for 13 games. He gives something different to the team,” said Arteta on Xhaka, suggesting the clean sheet record could give him an edge.
