Former Hearts of Oak defender Richard Akrofi is determined to help King Faisal win the Ghana Premier League title for the first time in the club’s history.
Akrofi, 29, has featured in 8 out of the 9 games this season for Faisal who lead the Ghana Premier League table with 20 points.
Faisal, 6 wins, 2 draws, and a loss, are three better than city-rivals Asante Kotoko while they are 11 points ahead of holders Hearts of Oak who have 3 games in hand.
Despite Aduana Stars and Kotoko breathing down the necks of the Green and Whites, Akrofi remains confident about his side’s chances of winning the league title.
“Alhaji Grusah has done a lot for the club within this period and we are ready to do whatever we have to do to win the league title for the club,” he told Jonathan Asiedu on Asempa FM’s SportsNite show.
Faisal has never won the Ghana Premier League title in the club’s history.
