Simon Kjær will most likely make his return from injury in Austria, when Milan play Wolfsberger.

Kjær hasn’t played a football match since December 2021 due to a knee injury which forced him to get surgery.

However, the player, having recovered from the injury, has been training at Milanello since July 4th and his return to the pitch now appears to be close.

Milan are taking it slow with Kjær and he wasn’t involved in the pre-season wins against Lemine Almenno Calcio (3-0) and 1. FC Köln (2-1). According to Milannews.it, Kjær should also skip the Zalaegerszegi TE on Saturday but he will be involved in the game against Wolfsberger AC.

Milan play Wolfsberger on July 27 to end their Austria training camp, which begins on July 24. Despite getting Kjær back, Milan are on the market for a new center back, with Japhet Tanganga targeted.
