Former Dundee United boss Tam Courts has been appointed manager of Hungarian side Budapest Honved after leaving Tannadice.
The 40-year-old departed the Tangerines by mutual consent on Tuesday after being linked with the job at Croatian outfit Rijeka.
Courts led the club to fourth place in the cinch Premiership last season but has now opted for a reunion with former United backroom staff member Chris Docherty, who recently took over as sporting director of the Nemzeti Bajnokság I side.
Honved finished ninth in the 12-team league last season, avoiding relegation to the second tier by two points.
They last lifted the Hungarian league title in 2017 and the national cup in 2020.
United are reportedly in talks with former Hibernian and St Mirren boss Jack Ross over replacing Courts in the Tannadice dugout.
Courts told the Honved website: “I know the great tradition of football in this country, as well as the fact that the people of Kispest go through fire and water for their team, and I am the type of coach who achieves real success when surrounded by people who do that.”
Docherty added: “He’s a coach with huge potential. So it’s a great thing that we were able to convince him that Honved could be successful under his leadership.”
