Sydney FC and the Wellington Phoenix are both desperate for a win, and the two clubs meet at the home of the former on Sunday evening.
The Sky Blues have been the league’s benchmark for a few seasons recently, but certainly not this one.
They have struggled to get going, they are yet to record a win, and they suffered another demoralizing defeat in Round 4, this time to the Mariners.
The Phoenix haven’t been a whole lot better, and they take their place on Sunday following a 4-0 thrashing at the hands of the Jets.
Without a lot of confidence, I’m not sure that Sydney will get a better opportunity to win than this.
