Stellenbosch FC have moved alongside log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns on 19 points on the DSTV Premiership log. Stellies travelled to the FNB Stadium and beat Kaizer Chiefs by a solitary goal.
Ashley du Preez scored the only goal of the match late in the first half. It leaves Stellenbosch FC on the same number of points as Sundowns, but they have played two more matches than the defending champions.
Chiefs remain with just three wins from nine matches. Their next match is the Soweto derby against Orlando Pirates next weekend.
