Tottenham Hotspur have made contact with Jesse Lingard’s representatives with a view to a move to London, either within this window or in summer, when the midfielder’s Manchester United contract expires.
As per @AlasdairGold, Tottenham have spoken to Jesse Lingard camp re summer move. Lingard doesn’t want to leave Man Utd this month but out of contract at end of season. Was told by OGS he would get chances this season but not materialised.

Lingard’s future has been up in the air since the player fell out of favour at United, going on-loan to fellow Premier League side West Ham United, where he scored nine goals in 16 league games. His form helped turn around the Hammers season, and nearly propelled him in England’s EURO 2020 squad.
The 29-year-old made it clear he wanted to stay at Old Trafford and fight for his place, with the club pricing West Ham out of a deal for him, but since then, the player has made just eight league appearances, all coming from the bench.
It is unlikely that the England International will leave the club in January, with United’s hefty price tag, and Lingard’s desire to see out his contract in Manchester.
Tottenham were in the mix, along with West Ham, for the attacking midfielder in the summer, but the player inevitably stayed with his parent club. Spurs, and Antonio Conte, believe he could be a difference maker alongside Harry Kane and Heung-min Son.
With Spurs currently paying back for the costs of their new stadium, the club would rather get the player on a free, than pay a fee.
Whatever happens in the summer, Lingard has shown glimpse’s of his 2020-21 form when on the pitch, and will be hoping to rise his stock before he eventually does leave Old Trafford for the last time.
