Some Arsenal fans plea with Patrick Vieira after Crystal Palace make announcement

Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to send a message to Patrick Vieira, after Crystal Palace announced that John Textor has joined the board.

What’s the story?

Well, the American businessman has pumped £90m of his own money into Crystal Palace, in a timely financial boost.

The Eagles have many plans, including the redevelopment of Selhurst Park, while a new £20m state-of-the-art academy structure is nearly complete.

The Guardian believe Textor’s money will go towards those two things, as well as improving the squad.

After hearing the news, Arsenal fans have begged Vieira to spend some of his budget on their deadwood.

Who could Crystal Palace take from Arsenal?

Interestingly, the south Londoners have actually been linked to a number of Arsenal players this summer.

The Eagles are believed to be leading the race to sign Reiss Nelson, while Joe Willock is also said to be of interest to Vieira.

Crystal Palace are also keen to sign Ainsley Maitland-Niles, while Eddie Nketiah is another player Vieira is supposedly eyeing.

Now, it should be noted that £90m hasn’t immediately been injected into Vieira’s budget – this isn’t FIFA.

That money will, as aforesaid, be spent on other things as well as players.
