Ryan Kent’s absence from Rangers’ pre-season training explained

Ryan Kent has been absent from Rangers ‘ pre-season training but the club’s supporters shouldn’t be too worried by their star player’s non-appearance so far.

Gers fans have been given a look at the popular new training kits with images of their Premiership champions being put through their paces by Steven Gerrard and Gary McAllister.

But the fact Kent has not been spotted in any of the 135 images posted to the club’s social media and website this week has piqued the interest of fans, but it seems there shouldn’t be any serious concern for the £7million winger.

The Sun report that Kent has been unable to shake a niggling injury throughout the summer, and has begun his own personal training inside the club’s Auchenhowie gym as he makes a full recovery.

Rangers news and features

Kent established himself as a pivotal player under Gerrard last season, and played a crucial role in helping the Ibrox club claim their first top-flight title since 2011.

He’s been linked with a big-money move to English Premier League side Leeds United but it would likely take a huge club-record fee to prise him away from Rangers’ clutches.
