Robert Lewandowski has often haunted Borussia Dortmund since his departure from the club, compiling a formidable goalscoring record against his former employers.
Lewandowski established himself as one of Europe’s leading forwards during four seasons with Borussia Dortmund, before reaching new levels after a free transfer move to divisional rivals Bayern Munich.
The Poland international has scored a stunning 329 goals in just 358 appearances for Bayern, winning seven Bundesliga titles and the Champions League among his ever-increasing collection of honours.
Individual acclaim has come in the form of a European Golden Shoe and back-to-back The Best FIFA Men’s Player awards, in addition to finishing as the Bundesliga’s leading scorer on a huge six occasions.
It’s been a tough watch for Dortmund, who have seen their former favourite score a staggering 26 goals in just 25 appearances against them.
