Camavinga linked with Man United
Eduardo Camavinga is one of the hottest young prospects in world football at the moment.
The Frenchman will not turn 19 until November, but is already an absolutely integral part of Rennes’ side.
Camavinga featured 25 times in Ligue 1 during 2019/20, playing a key role in his side securing a Champions League berth.
And the 2020/21 campaign saw the midfielder notch a further 35 league appearances for Rennes.
His impressive form at such a young age has unsurprisingly seen some top clubs tipped to move for the midfielder, including both Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.
Reports stemming from France, meanwhile, also added Arsenal to the mix for the teenager.
In more recent weeks, though, it is another Premier League side who have been most heavily linked with the Frenchman.
That side has been Manchester United, with it claimed that the Red Devils have even made contact with the midfielder’s entourage.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano also confirmed that Man United would try to sign Camavinga in the current summer window:
Manchester United will try to sign Eduardo Camavinga this summer as they know they’d face lot of competition next year – when Camavinga could leave Rennes as free agent. 🔴 #MUFC

Rennes president speaks out
Now, Rennes president Nicolas Holveck has been drawn on the possibility of his side parting with their star youngster this summer.
And, it does look to be fairly good news for Manchester United or any other potential Camavinga suitors.
When asked whether Camavinga could be sold in the current transfer window, Hovleck stated:
“Discussions are still ongoing, everything is open, either for a departure during this transfer window – if an offer satisfies everyone – or to extend [his contract].”
