Eden Hazard’s days at Real Madrid could be numbered, according to a report in Marca.
Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is not playing him from the start and the superb form of Vinicius on the left wing is keeping the Belgian out of the team. He didn’t play in either of Madrid’s two Super Cup matches against Barcelona and Athletic Club.
Marca report that Belgian sources have hinted at a potential departure this month. Real Madrid would facilitate a move, but they are aware that his high salary would make it difficult to find a club.
The former Chelsea player hardly took part in the celebrations following the Super Cup win over Athletic in Saudi Arabia on Sunday. He is currently behind Vinicius, Marco Asensio and Rodrygo for a place in the Madrid team.
Between the end of 2021 and the start of 2022, he featured against Cádiz, Athletic, Alcoyano and Getafe, but hardly made an impact.
Ancelotti already has his first trophy of the season and knows his best eleven. Hazard isn’t knocking on the door either. He looks low on confidence and the 2021/22 campaign could be his last at the Santiago Bernabéu.
