Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich have all approached Sergio Ramos over a summer move, according to reports.
The Real Madrid legend put Europe’s biggest clubs on alert by announcing his decision to leave the Bernabeu at the end of the season.
He’s been heavily linked with Manchester United, although the Red Devils aren’t thought to have submitted an offer.
This England generation must ignore blizzard of bullish*t
According to ESPN, their Premier League rivals City have acted on their interest in Ramos.
They’ve offered the centre-back a two-year deal which would be ‘reassessed’ in the summer of 2023.
If Ramos had made a significant impact on the team by then, he would be offered a one-year extension.
If his injury troubles persist then a spell at City’s partners New York City FC could be put in place.
The report states that Pep Guardiola is keen to bring in an experienced defender during the transfer window.
Ramos fits the bill, having made over 700 appearances for Sevilla and Real during his hugely successful career.
Five La Liga titles, four Champions Leagues and two Copa del Reys have been lifted in that time by the 35-year-old.
He was also a vital part of the Spain team which dominated the international scene from 2008 to 2012, so it’s clear to see why Guardiola is interested in a deal.
However, the Premier League champions will have to fight off serious competition for his signature.
PSG were interested in Ramos earlier in the year but expected him to renew his contract at Real.
Now his exit has been confirmed, PSG sporting director Leonardo Araujo has contacted his agent.
It’s thought that Mauricio Pochettino is keen to add a player of Ramos’ quality to his squad, as the search for that illusive Champions League trophy goes on.
The final club to have actively contacted Ramos is Bayern Munich. They’ve already confirmed the signing of Dayot Upamecano from RB Leipzig, but it seems they won’t stop there.
With David Alaba leaving for Real, Ramos could form part of a free transfer swap.
However, complications will reportedly arise over his ability to move his family to Germany.
