Ralf Ragnick’s salary shows Manchester United have once again broken the Sir Alex Ferguson rule, according to the Mirror.
Once upon at time at Old Trafford there was a wage structure in place that ensured no player earned more a week than the legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
This decision wasn’t down to greed, Sir Alex felt it was extremely important to install an ethos that no player is bigger than Manchester United. And given his success, it’s hard to argue with his methods.
However, in the eight years since Sir Alex parted ways with the club, that wage structure seems to have fallen out of favour. With many top members of the playing squad earning more than the various United managers who have tried to succeed in the hot spot.
And that case remains with the interim of manager Rangnick earning less than some players. However, his fee of £8million which takes him to the end of the current campaign.
