TWO local football teams have named a popular food delivery company as their main pie supplier for this season.

Pie Sports have been selected to provide the half-time snacks from kiosks at Partick Thistle’s Firhill and St Mirren Park in Paisley.

Taking their delicious pies to football grounds around the country has been one of the company’s long term goals.

The company has been operating a home delivery service to allow football fans to continue enjoying their favourite treats on matchday. Some of the pies on offer include steak with haggis and peppercorn sauce; dirty mac – macaroni cheese with Stornoway black pudding along with the standard fare including the classic Scotch pie.

Pie Sports’ Brian Sarafilovic said: “We are delighted to enter into these partnerships with Partick Thistle and St Mirren and are looking forward to getting started at both clubs’ next home matches.

“Our original concept was to keep in touch with the football public with home delivery during lockdown and the response was terrific, this now lets us continue to build that relationship with the football fraternity.”

Glasgow Times:

Brian’s business partner, Ross Hamilton, added: “The online customer base we have built up includes fans from both Partick Thistle and St Mirren, as well as a number of other major and junior clubs across Scotland.

“Our social media campaigns and competitions proved really popular, as did our product range and customer service, we will be looking to now take some of those innovative ideas out to fans LIVE!”
