Happy Monday, friends and fans!
In case you missed it, the Oklahoma Sooners’ Lincoln Riley recently shared this graphic image of “cooked” brisket that we can only assume he prepared himself. Since then, the internet has roasted OU’s head football coach for this well done Easter atrocity that dries my eyes out with its very existence.
The jokes flooded in, but it wasn’t all hate. Although he’s getting ready for the 2021 NFL Draft, DE Ronnie Perkins still has his coach’s back.
If I were Texas defensive back D’Shawn Jamison, I probably wouldn’t talk so much about others being burnt.
Now I’m no barbecue expert or self-proclaimed pitmaster, but I have indulged in more than a few slabs of Bevo in my day. Unfortunately, it seems like these choices were not nurtured with the tender love and care that they deserved. Fortunately, there is a surefire way Riley can repair his reputation from this self-inflicted burn, and that is to scorch the competition this fall en route to college football immortality.
A word to the wise; don’t share pics of your meat on the world wide web. Aside from the inevitable cyber humiliation, you’re really just asking to get flamed. We all love ya, Linc, but please don’t quit your day job.

- Newly hired men’s basketball head coach Porter Moser is already assembling his staff at OU. Stadium’s Jeff Goodman reports that K.T. Turner is headed to Norman to join the Sooners after spending last year with Texas and the previous seven seasons at SMU.

- 247 Sports’ Clint Buckley rated redshirt sophomore QB Spencer Rattler and true sophomore WR Marvin Mims as the most dynamic duo heading into the 2021 college football season.
- Details for the 2021 Women’s Gymnastics Championship have been released. OU is the No. 2 overall seed and will continue its quest for the program’s fifth national title in Forth Worth, Texas on Friday, April 16.
- Tonight, the 2020-21 college basketball season comes to a close as the Baylor Bears and Gonzaga Bulldogs are set to rumble in the national championship game. Both squads reigned supreme atop the polls for the majority of the year, so it’s only fitting that this contest concludes another wild campaign. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. CT on CBS.
- On Sunday, the Stanford Cardinal defeated the Arizona Wildcats, 54-53 to claim the 2021 women’s college basketball national championship. It’s the third overall title for the program, and its first since 1992.
