Southampton are set to step up their search for a striker after being linked with Odsonne Edouard.
The Celtic striker is reportedly wanted by Brighton and the Saints and is in the last year of his contract.
He started Ange Postecoglou ’s first Premiership game in charge against Hearts but was dropped for the midweek Europa League win against Jablonec.
And Ralph Hasenhuttl could be about to make his move as he desperately seeks a replacement for Danny Ings.
The England international left for Aston Villa this week in a £25million move as the Villain’s splashed some of the £100million they banked from Manchester City in exchange for Jack Grealish.

And Hassenhuttl confirmed to the Daily Echo that a new front man is now top of his transfer wishlist ahead of the new English Premier League season.
“I think we know that we have lost a very important striker in Danny Ings and to replace him, sure, we know that we have to do something.
“We definitely need someone.”
Edouard hit 22 goals last term and has gone beyond the 20 mark in each of his last three seasons at Parkhead.
