Brazilian forward Neymar carried Paris Saint-Germain to a 3-1 win against Manchester United in the UEFA Champions League at Old Trafford, England.
Neymar catapulted two straight kicks to upset the England-based squad. Even though Marcus Rashford hacked a tie-breaker, the lead-raking shot traversed past David De Gea down the stretch.
Manchester United slacked on PSG’s late-game tactics after 1-1. The draw could have landed them a ticket to the playoffs if it wasn’t for the Brazilians. Neymar and Marquinhos spearheaded the late-game surge.
Marquinhos pulled the rug under Manchester after forward Anthony Martial failed to execute a low kick. The 26-year-old Brazilian blasted a deciding header on their way to the second half to a coveted 3-1 stomp.
Martial could have satiated Manchester through sidekicks if he did not miss his six-yard shot.
The win handed the French team an advantage over three teams, Manchester, Lazio, and Leipzig, who are all tied at nine points.

Rashford was on another level for Manchester after striking a leftover kick to score the team’s first goal.
Full-back Abdou Diallo reared the defensive line for the PSG, but Rashford was brutal on offense.
Rashford caught Keylor Navas off-guard.
Diallo still cut the passing lanes. He breezed the lane for Neymar’s projectiles.
Rashford’s celebration was temporary, though, as Neymar’s acrobatics put the opponents on notice.
Before that, fellow Brazillian Fred of Manchester received two yellow cards. The calls dragged the team to a slow death, which started from the see-saw.
Killian Mbappe worked on his defenses to support PSG from the possible crease.
PSG gambled on withdrawing defender Moise Kean for Mitchell Bakker in reserve. The plan complimented midfielder Ander Herrera for the lightweight pursuit with the ball.
“It could perhaps have been completely different if they had scored, but we have players who can kill a match,” Herrera mentioned.
The substitution bred strikers from behind. Alessandro Florenzi and Bakker acted as reinforcement to Neymar and Mbappe, who fortified the front wall.
Fred received a red card after committing four fouls in the game.
The win somehow allowed PSG to avenge their loss to Manchester United last year wherein the Brazilian star took social media by storm after his controversial chatter to the referees.
Paris Saint-Germain was leading in the first leg of the tournament at 2-1. Later, Manchester United spoiled their remaining hopes with a 3-1 splash in the round 16 of the 2019 Champions League.
Manchester will gear up for their match against West Ham on Saturday. They will try to pummel Leipzig to arrange the deciding game for the Champions League.
PSG will battle İstanbul Başakşehir on Tuesday, December 8.
