New Mexico United Announces Signing of Haiti International Carl Sainté

Albuquerque, NM – New Mexico United is excited to announce the signing of Haiti international Carl Sainté to their active roster ahead of the 2022 season. Sainté, a midfielder born in Grand-Goâve, Haiti, led Haiti to the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Brazil in 2019, where he scored one of the goals of the tournament.


“Carl has the ability to be a top professional in this league,” said New Mexico United Head Coach and Technical Director Zach Prince. “I look forward to working with him and to him capitalizing on his potential. We are very excited to add Carl to our group.”

Sainté represented Haiti on the 2021 U-23 Olympic Qualifying squad, and was a key player in Violette AC’s 1st Division Championship in the 2020-2021 season.
