A noteworthy piece of footage centering on Manchester United star Nemanja Matic has come to the fore online, on the back of the club’s trip to the Emirates on Saturday.

Matic and co. of course, were back in action a little over 24 hours ago.

En route to an eventual defeat at the hands of Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, though, the Serbian veteran was hooked from proceedings a little over ten minutes from time, as United went in desperate search of a 2nd of the afternoon.

And, as alluded to above, Matic’s ensuing stretch on the bench did not prove all that much more enjoyable than his time on the pitch in north London.

This came as the 33-year-old became embroiled in a heated back and forth with a member of the Arsenal faithful.

As the home support persisted in poking fun at him over ongoings on the pitch, Matic turned to hit back, highlighting the trio of Premier League titles which he managed to garner across the midfielder’s time with Chelsea:

Xhaka amongst the goals

Matic, to his credit, actually proved one of Manchester United’s better performers on Saturday, teeing up his side’s only goal at the Emirates courtesy of a pinpoint delivery to Cristiano Ronaldo:

The struggles of his teammates, though, ultimately culminated in Ralf Rangnick’s visitors being put to the sword by three goals to one, owing to strikes on the part of all of Nuno Tavares, Bukayo Saka and Granit Xhaka:

The Red Devils, in turn, have slipped a full six points off the Premier League’s top-four pace, all but ending the club’s hopes of Champions League football in the 2022/23 campaign.
