Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has praised his manager Luciano Spalletti for trusting him and helping him improve.
Osimhen grabbed a brace in the club’s 4-0 win over Sampdoria recently and he was talking DAZN after the game. He was asked about Spalletti and he stated that the Italian has trusted a lot in him and the striker wants to repay the trust.
He claimed: “For me, it is important to start well, this gives me confidence to score more goals. I’m happy with my performances.
“I’m sorry for what happened last year between Covid-19 and injury. Spalletti also helped me with the trust he gave me and I hope to repay it. I’m honored to have a coach like him. He gives me a lot, he stops after training and together we work hard.”
Osimhen has scored five times in the last three games for the Partenopei as he scored against Udinese and got a brace against Leicester City.
